The Swiss Made quality seal epitomizes the sheer excellence of Swiss-made products. To obtain this recognition, Candino has to work within the stringent criteria of the Swiss watchmaking tradition, while using the most advanced materials and technology and carrying out quality control checks at every stage of the manufacturing process. To keep in step with an ever-evolving market, Candino has constantly modernized its production facilities and management principles.
When creating the outstanding Retro line, Candino's designers have turned back time to the 40s. At the time functionality was the main target. The brand-new Retro Chronograph features a Swiss made Ronda movement of outstanding quality, embedded in a 44 mm case. Time-measuring instruments include easy to use intermediate or intervals timing for hours, minutes, seconds and 1/10th of a second.
The watch features a slightly domed, hardened mineral glass and is water-resistant up to 10 atm. A genuine leather strap in black or brown, with contrasting white stitching, rounds off the elegant-sporty aesthetics of the Retro series. The Candino Retro collection is available in various dial colors and is made either in stainless steel or with a rose PVD coating.
Candino Quadro, a creation which combines a timeless design and advanced Swiss technology. This new development features the traditional functions of a Swiss made chronograph: time measurement with intermediate and "split" functions.
The Candino Quadro chronograph is 5 atm water-resistant and is equipped with a screwed back, a rose-gold PVD coated case and a slightly domed crystal made from hardened mineral glass. A leather strap guarantees a comfortable fit thanks to its soft lining. The Candino Quadro is also available in stainless steel with white and dark dials.
Candino was founded in 1947 by Adolf Flury-Hug, who opened a watchmaking studio in the annex of his family home in Herbetswil in the Swiss canton of Solothurn.
Even today, the original workshop proudly remains standing beside the company’s ultra-modern factory inaugurated in 1989. Not by chance has it resisted the onslaughts of time and modernization – for it’s a symbol of the commitment of Candino to remain faithful to the principles of its founders.
Owned by the Festina Group since 2002, Candino produces some 2000 watches a day at its Herbetswil factory. Candino develops its own models, and its production breaks down between 80% quartz movements and 20% mechanical movements.
